Chevron Group has acquired English Language Ireland (ELI), a leading South East based English Language School.

The Chevron Group has a portfolio of market leading education businesses which include Chevron Training, Bricks 4 Kidz, Little Medical School and Sew Fun Studios. English Language Ireland will now enable the group to expand its international reach to a global student market.

Established in 2000, ELI has delivered high quality English language programmes to thousands of students from across the world. When speaking about the acquisition, Karl Fitzpatrick, Managing Director of Chevron Group stated “Its excellent reputation, extensive range of accreditations and its vast network of international agents made English Language Ireland an ideal acquisition target for Chevron. Over 125,000 international students travel to Ireland each year to learn English and once the Covid-19 vaccines have been widely distributed, we are confident that this market will recover quickly.”

English Language Ireland is being relocated from Carlow to Wexford and will be integrated within the portfolio and will benefit from the economies of scale which the overall Group has achieved.

In addition to the established markets of Spain and France, English Language Ireland will be focusing on attracting students from high potential regions such as China, Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mexico, Chile and Argentina.
